Iulia

A stunning backlit portrait by AlinaB has been awarded Photo of the Week with the image 'Iulia'.

The Photo of the Week is chosen by ePHOTOzine staff, and here's why we thought this lovely portrait deserved to win the award this week:

This is a beautiful image that uses backlighting really well to create a halo effect around the model's head and shoulders. All the shades used complement the model well; the brown walls, copper coloured seat and beige dress all work with her hair and eye colour perfectly.

Posing has been done well, to lead the viewer's eye up the arm and to the face, where there are beautiful catchlights in the eyes further emphasised by the makeup used and flawless complexion. Natural lighting has been used to create a softer effect on the face, with no harsh shadows.

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Zippi. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.
