Kowa Prominar 8.5mm f/2.8The Kowa Prominar 8.5mm f/2.8 is a classy-looking lens, it's beautifully made and the results are excellent. AF would make focusing much easier, but it can be worked around and still leave the lens being very satisfying to use. At least with the large amount of depth of field available there is some leeway at longer distances. In summary, it's a great lens that is delightful in use and delivers the goods. |

Venus Laowa 7.5mm f/2If ultra-wide angle lenses gel with your style of photography, then this is a great little lens. It's easy to use, gives fantastic results and is light and compact. It is also reasonably priced compared to the alternatives. In addition, it is very bright and this is unique at this focal length, which opens up new possibilities for image making. |

Meike 6.5mm f/2.0 FisheyeThe circular fisheye lens is a fairly specialised tool, the frame filling designs being much more prevalent and arguably more generally useful. However, who could argue with that f/2 aperture, with the quality of the results, with the excellent price, with the solid construction? The only difficulty is that judging manual focus is well nigh impossible, but the huge depth of field can cover most situations very well. If we want to delve into the fisheye world at a reasonable cost and no compromise on quality, then this could well be a very strong contender. |

Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 NoktonOverall this is another fine, fast lens from Voigtlander for Micro Four Thirds. Those shooting video will appreciate the option of a stepless aperture and many will enjoy exploiting the fast maximum aperture and ability to isolate a subject from their surroundings with a shallow depth of field. Sharpness delivered by this lens is excellent, with acceptable distortion and falloff. It’s a shame CA levels are a little on the high side, but then that is probably unavoidable on a lens as wide and as fast as this. Build quality harks back to a bygone era of brass lenses with a silky-smooth focusing action. As a result, it is sure to win over many fans. |

Samyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS MFTOverall, this is an excellent optic that produces images with excellent sharpness, low distortion and low CA. Also, what makes this lens especially interesting is the low price which we're sure will grab the attention of many. |
