A mono, abstract shot of a staircase spiralling down out of view has been crowned ePHOTOzine's 'Photo of the Week'.

An interesting and thought-provoking black and white image of a staircase has won our 'Photo of the Week' (POTW) accolade this week on ePHOTOzine.
We love the abstract feel this shot has with its angular shapes and 'rabbit hole' effect that pulls you down through the different floors to the man below. The contrast between light and dark is excellent as is the timing to capture the man as he's just about to leave the building, leaving you wondering where he's going and who he is.
Commenting on the image, site Moderator Malc said: "Good photography invites the viewer to ask questions, without necessarily giving answers, instead, providing even more questions the more we look" and we couldn't have put it better ourselves as this is exactly what this image does, giving the viewer the chance to notice something different each time they view the shot.
It's a classic stairway image that's given a strong, rugged twist and we can't help but award it our POTW title.
All of our POTW winners receive an EVO Plus 64GB MicroSDXC card with an SD Adapter courtesy of Samsung. To be in with a chance of becoming our next POTW winner, simply upload an image to our gallery where you'll also find all of our past POTW winners.
Plus, going forward, we will also announce a new 'Photo of the Year' winner who'll win a Samsung Portable SSD T7. Each POTW winner, 52 in total, will then have their image shared in a new POTW forum where, in January 2022, we will ask you all to hit the 'like' button on your favourite images. Then, the ePHOTOzine team will count up the likes and our first 'Photo of the Year' winner will be announced.
