A photo of Kings Cross Station captured in black and white has been crowned our 'Photo of the Week'.

A brilliant black & white photo captured in Kings Cross station that's bursting with interest has been crowned our latest 'Photo of the Week' (POTW) winner. The photo was taken by RolandC and has the aptly named title 'Hustle Bustle'.
When street photography is done right, it's a brilliant thing and we can't fault this black and white photo that combines energy and stillness with shape and form. When you remove the colour from a photograph you instantly become reliant on shape, tone and other graphical elements you may not have noticed when all of the colours of the rainbow are used. It also helps simply a scene, allowing the viewer to really focus on specific elements of the photo.
The sense of movement and choice of composition are the main things that stand out to us but with so much to see and appreciate, it's a very well-timed capture that tells a story of a very busy place where there's always something going on.
Well done RolandC - a well deserved 'EC' and 'POTW' winner.
All of our POTW winners receive an EVO Plus 64GB MicroSDXC card with SD Adapter courtesy of Samsung. To be in with a chance of becoming our next POTW winner, simply upload an image to our gallery where you'll also find all of our past POTW winners.
