A black and white environmental portrait has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.
| ePHOTOzineAn atmospheric environmental portrait has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.
The image, entitled 'B&W MOON' by ePz member skram, stood out to the team and here's why we chose it:
This is an interesting capture that makes you wonder about the man in the image and his story. The almost square crop and signature on the image remind us of a record cover. The streaks of cloud in the sky lead your eye through the image and allow you to take in the minimalist landscape scenery in the background.
The man at the centre of the image is almost a silhouette, adding a dark and brooding feel to the image. The fact that the ledge he's standing on is hollow underneath also adds a feeling of unease to the image. The super smooth water also adds an unearthly, almost moon-like landscape to the photo.
Winners of the Photo of the Week accolade currently receive a 32GB MicroSDHC card from Samsung. See all the winners of the Photo of the Week accolade in the POTW Gallery.

What a load of $£%& ! , I think what it is called is an unnecessary eyesore that draws the eye away from the figure, and to even think that the signature / logo is an essential part of the image has got to be a joke.
Credit where credit is due though, the logo is beautifully aligned to the figure beneath it.
