Black Rapid is a manufacturer of innovative and creative photography products, including the wildly popular R-Strap. The company focuses heavily on responding to customer input to create the most functional and comfortable equipment.

JP Distribution is a successful division of Johnsons Photopia Ltd, an independent, privately owned company that can trace its roots back to 1743.  JP Distribution is committed to providing an exclusive complementary portfolio of leading brands for the professional and enthusiast photographer via a dedicated network of retail partners.  JP Distribution has a wealth of experienced personnel with an unrivalled level of imaging knowledge, expertise and experience.

Craig Calder, Group Marketing Manager at JP Distribution commented, “This is an exciting opportunity for us. Black Rapid is a perfect fit for JP Distribution and compliments our exitsing product portfolio."

We are very excited to have a company of such high esteem handling the branding and promotion of Black Rapid Inc. We look forward to their continued success and we feel extremely fortunate to have JP Distribution as part of the Black Rapid team." Kurt Peterson, President, Black Rapid added.

The BlackRapid R-Strap transforms the standard camera strap into a revolutionary, must-have piece of equipment. The photographer-designed
R-Strap represents a major innovation in speed and comfort, allowing you to shoot faster, free of pain, in the most demanding situations.

Offering a range of products, the R-Strap is the most innovative camera strap ever to hit the market. This patent-pending piece of equipment offers unparalleled ease of access to your camera and peace of mind.

The R-Strap is worn diagonally across the torso from shoulder to hip and is adjustable to fit most photographers. The pad has a mesh underside for comfort and breathability. The locking FastenR connects the R-Strap to the tripod socket located on either the camera body or the lens. Once connected, the camera hangs upside down, resting securely at your side or in the small of your back, with the lens pointing behind you. With the camera at your hip or behind your back, you can maneuver easily through a crowd, carry a tripod or other gear, or simply have both hands free. When you’re ready to take the shot, the camera quickly glides up the strap into shooting position.

The DR-1 is the ultimate solution for two-camera shooters. Ergonomic and sleek, it works with BlackRapid’s MODS system of attachments so you can customise your strap to your exact needs. One side can even be detached for use as a single R-Strap. Simple, fast, and intuitive, you’ll wonder how you lived without it.

About time. I just hope they will not have the supply problems that the U.S manufacturers had.
Great product but too expensive once you factor in postage, duty and vat, time will tell!
