Build Your Own Transparent Camera With This DIY Camera Kit : CROZ

There's a rather reasonably priced DIY camera kit available and when the camera's complete, you'll have a 5MP compact that's also transparent so you can see all of the circuit boards and inner workings of the camera.

The Vanguard Camera Set is available from Paper Shoot for $3,899 (New Taiwan Dollar) which equates to roughly £99, and it features just two switches - the on/off button serves as the shutter button and the other switch is used to select photo effects which include normal, black & white, sepia and blue.

There is also a blue blinker which reminds you to insert an SD card (up to 32GB SD cards are supported) as well as informing you that an image has been captured. The 5MP camera is powered by two AAA batteries and you can connect it to a computer via Micro USB to transfer images.

As for the camera's optics, it features a precision lens by Largan, who also work with Apple, and there's also a fisheye as well as a wide-angle lens provided.
