Calumet’s new ‘one-stop-shop’ opens its doors in a ‘landmark’ Birmingham building on Monday October 18.
Customers visiting the new-look store at Number100 Hagley Road, Edgbaston between now and the end of November will be eligible for ‘compelling introductory offers’ and a ‘special events’ agenda .
Explained Calumet UK MD Michele Channer: “Number 100 Hagley Road is a prominent six storey building that has recently undergone a massive £12 million redevelopment – and we are relocating from our old store site in Aston to occupy part of the refurbished ground floor.
She added: “We’ve been in the city for over 20 years and the time is right to make a move to more suitable premises to accommodate our growing business. Now photographers in the Midlands will have access to their own outstanding one-stop photo-shopping experience with the additional benefits of high-class, in-house seminar facilities and new product ranges.
Store manager Peter Hodgson said: “The new store is set in a prime location on the A456 - one of the main arterial routes in and out of Birmingham city centre.
We believe our burgeoning product range and the vast knowledge bank that resides in our expert staff will encourage not just our existing customers from our former site but extensive new passing trade too.”
“The new store has free parking facilities and will offer all the very latest in photographic stills, lighting and video technology equipment from all the key names including: Hasselblad, Nikon, Canon, Sony - plus Calumet’s own brand products.
Everything that you would expect from the UK’s Number One professional photographic retailer. Plus, we’ll be running a special one day trade show at Hagley Road between 9am-7pm on Thursday November 11 - as an additional celebration.”
A new seminar agenda
Calumet is also planning a brand new programme of key seminars and workshops in the store’s purpose-built seminar room.
Added Hodgson: “This is a big move forward for us and our imaging education workshop agenda. Our new seminar room holds up to twenty people, is fully air-conditioned with blackout windows for total privacy – and can also double as a studio.”
The first seminar at the new store will be the Canon Experience Seminar on Interiors on Thursday November 4.
