Canon PowerShot G10Press Release:

Calumet will run a nationwide spring ‘Canon Week’ at the end of April – and one lucky photographer will pick up a 14.7 megapixel Canon G10 (SRP £569.00) in an exclusive prize draw.

The Canon promotion (Mon April 27th – Friday May 1st) also provides wedding photographers with an opportunity to win a bigger slice of the ‘wedding cake’ with a unique ‘How To’ seminar programme running in five key branches throughout the week-long programme.

Frankie Munden, Calumet’s PR and Events Coordinator explained: “We will be running special promotions and product demonstrations across our branch network, with Canon specialists in-store each day showcasing latest Canon DSLRs, lenses and output devices.  In addition we are working with Canon to set up 'Introduction to wedding photography with EOS flash’ workshops for both aspirational and established professional wedding shooters, at our stores in Manchester, Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow and London (Drummond Street).

She added: “The 2.5 hour-long (morning or afternoon) seminars cost just £35 (incl VAT) and will demonstrate how controlled use of Canon flash can make all the difference to the quality of the final image. Photographers should waste no time registering online as demand for places is likely to be heavy. Every seminar delegate will also receive a free ‘Goody’ bag.

The course is suitable for dedicated users of any Canon EOS digital camera and Canon EX speedlight flashgun, from the 420/550 to the current 430 EX II and 580 EX II but is not appropriate for photographers using third party flashgun equipment.

Seminar dates and venues:
  • Tuesday April 28th: Manchester and Belfast
  • Wednesday April 29th:  Birmingham
  • Thursday April 30th: Glasgow and London (Drummond Street)
