Calumet has upgraded and enhanced its website to offer customers in the UK and around the world what it describes as 'a unique and all-inclusive online photo-shopping experience.'

The website revamp – which comes on the eve of the company’s 75th anniversary – is the result of months of planning to develop a state-of-the-art site which will interact seamlessly between Calumet’s 31 worldwide stores and its professional call centres.

The new-look website offers:
  • Improved product search capabilities
  • Thousands of new product listings
  • Side-by-side product comparisons
  • Product reviews
  • Interactive platform that improves customer service communications
  • A wish list that can be shared with friends
  • Significant online promotions
Christof  Bergmann, managing director of Calumet Europe and CEO of the Calumet Group said: "Since the 1930s the Calumet brand has embodied the highest levels of service and the greatest quality photography equipment. Research shows that the professional photography industry is expected to grow 13% by 2020 and so we have made it a priority to consistently evolve our e-commerce platform. This new site offers the most robust and informed shopping experience our customers will have ever encountered with us."

He added: "New interactive functionality engages customers like never before and better addresses their ever-changing needs as photographic technology continues to develop. Additionally, this redesign offers more stability and overall efficiency than ever - with an improved checkout facility and a compelling new 'search and share' wish list option that enables customers to easily introduce friends and family to all features and benefits of our comprehensive portfolio of photographic equipment."

International research organisation MarketLine predicts that the global photographic products market will grow to over £41 billion within the next eighteen months – and that the growth of smartphone photography will significantly expand the number of customers looking to improve and advance their photo-skills.
