Canon has decided to end sales of its last remaining film camera, the EOS-1V.
Production of the EOS-1V ceased in 2010, however up until now the remaining units had still been for sale. The news marks the end of 82 years in the film camera industry for Canon, however, of course, the name still lives on in their EOS digital cameras.
Canon have said that they will continue to repair EOS 1V models until 31 October 2025.
Don't worry, though - if you still want to get your hands on the camera, there will more than likely be models available second-hand. Nikon still sells a film camera as well - the F6.
