We compare the Canon EOS 100D and 700D Digital SLRs side by side.
| Canon EOS 700D (Rebel T5i) in Digital SLRs
Despite the new Canon EOS 100D being significantly more compact than the Canon EOS 700D, it shares a lot of the same specifications as the Canon EOS 700D, therefore we thought it would be worthwhile to show the differences between these two new 18 megapixel Digital SLRs.

Canon EOS 100D Vs 700D - On top there are the same buttons, but with different mode dials, and the 700D features stereo microphones above the flash hot-shoe.

Canon EOS 100D Vs 700D - On the rear there is a similar layout of buttons and controls between each camera, however the smaller 100D does not have the same direct access to WB/AF/Drive/Picture control on the 4-way controller. Instead the 100D puts these options in the menus. Both cameras feature a Q button to give quicker access on the rear screen.

Canon Eos 100d Vs 700d side ports and buttons give the same sockets and buttons as each other.

The 700D features a side memory compartment, to give easy access to the SD memory card, while the 100D keeps the memory card in the battery compartment underneath the camera. As the 100D is considerably smaller than the 700D, the grip on the 100D extends further with the rubberised texture surrounding the shutter release.

Canon EOS 100D Vs 700D menus.

The Q button gives quick access to the most commonly set options without the need to go into the menus. Additional photos of the camera menus side by side can be seen below, or alternatively for more detail on each camera, simply follow the links below:

The 6D also has and extra 0.5 fps - So all other specs almost identical apart from size and build materials.
Where the 6D is better is with pixel size and ISO range, 50 - 102400 not 100 - 25600.
It also has a touch screen and AF fine tune - but no built in Flash. The 6D also has Wifi and GPS.
So £569 RRP vs £1599 RRP - are those extra's really worth £1000?

Not in my opinion. Here it is 4 years later, and I've been researching this tiny camera. At the time of its release, I came near buying one, as I had read numerous reviews from experienced photographers who though it to be the perfect backup camera body to a Canon pro kit. They were very convincing. I am now thinking of getting one for special purposes that are difficult for my FZ1000 to handle, such as shallow depth of field. I think it would be perfect with the Canon 50mm f1.8 and a couple of the Sigma art lenses. Also ideal for family photography with a 50mm f1.8 on it. They're available now used at about half the original price.
