Thanks, seems like a very interesting camera as a first step in to FF.
Is the shutter totally silent in all modes.
Does it have a sensor cover like the R?

Does it look like a nice street camera.

Thanks.

Now doesn't that look promising ??....simple but effective ergonomics, articulated
rear screen, with high resolution EVF, & a nice chunky grip........

Just want to see the EPZ review now....specially the image quality, with reference to
the studio test results......my usual practice is to examine the detail in the Cordura
bag for definition, & the lettering around the lens of the red compact camera, & if
the corners are going soft in the small brass clock in the bottom RH corner ??

These results for the new "R" are very impressive, so hopefully the RP can match
this quality......may depend on the lens used I suppose ??...fingers crossed !!!!!!

I can feel my boxes being ticked each time I read this stuff !!!.WinkGrinGrin

I would also like to know if the shutter can actually be silent. I ask as the 80D I bought has a 'silent' shutter setting, which is completely misleading, and should be more accurately renamed 'not quite as loud'.

Call me an old fool but if this camera functions half as well as I expect it will be a keeper at this price. My mind is still young even though my body tells me different at times but given my economic situation for the money I don't think it can be beat. Just think, a brand new FF camera with the lens adapter and grip extender at this price. The only thing left for me is to actually get this camera in hand and see what we will see. Keep on keeping on Folks!!!!!!!

I have found an answer (and not the answer I expected) to the 'silent shutter' question:

"...the silent electronic shutter is only available as a scene mode. Like most scene modes, this forces the camera into automatic exposure. There is no way to shoot in manual, aperture priority, or shutter priority exposure modes using the silent shutter. A silent shutter is one of the core advantageous of mirrorless cameras, and yet here’s a brand new model that inexplicably locks that capability to a mode that any experienced shooter would rather avoid."
