Canon today introduces four new models to the PowerShot range: the 30x optical zoom PowerShot SX700 HS, the rugged and waterproof PowerShot D30, and the latest addition to the PowerShot S-series, the PowerShot S200. In addition, three new IXUS models are being introduced: the IXUS 155, IXUS 150 and IXUS 145.
The Canon PowerShot D30 can shoot underwater at depths as low as 25 meters, is shockproof for drops of up to 2.0m, freeze proof to -10 °C and is dustproof. The PowerShot D30 is ideal for snow trekking, rock-climbing, or underwater explorations and will be available from April 2014 with an SRP of £299.
PowerShot SX700 HS
The PowerShot SX700 HS features an ultra-wide angle 25mm lens and a 30x zoom in an expertly-engineered 34.8mm thin body making it Canon's slimmest ever 30x optical zoom camera. The PowerShot SX700 HS is available from March 2014 with an SRP of £329.
The PowerShot S200 has a modern, pocketable design, manual setting options, an ultra-wide angle bright f/2.0 lens and a higher sensitivity 10.1 Megapixel CCD sensor. The PowerShot S200 is available from May 2014 with an SRP of £279.
IXUS 155, IXUS 150 and IXUS 145
Three new high-zoom, pocketable and easy-to-use compact cameras join the critically-acclaimed IXUS series. The IXUS 155 features Canon's DIGIC image processing, a 10x optical zoom and a 20 MP sensor while the entry-level IXUS 150 and IXUS 145, each with a 16 Megapixel sensor and 8x optical zoom, feature easy-to-use shooting modes and creative filters.
