The image, titled 'Segun' was chosen by the team to win, and here's why it caught our eye:

This portrait stood out to us as the eyes of the model just draw you into the image. The image has been framed well, with the brim of the hat almost touching the edges of the frame and the top and bottom of the image cropped just below the collar bone and top of the hat creating a very flattering headshot. 

Lighting has been used well to highlight facial features and there's also a lovely bright catchlight in the eyes, adding to the draw of the photo.
