360-degree, immersive photography seems to be a growing trend among technology creators and now Samsung's joined the evolution with the release of the Gear 360.

The Gear 360 features front and rear lenses which both capture 180-degrees horizontally and vertically, creating a complete 360-degree field of view. The camera, which is dust and splash proof, is compatible with Galaxy smartphones as well as the Gear VR and it's capable of capturing 30MP photos and 3840x1920 videos with a bright f/2.0 lens. As well as recording 360-degree footage, just a single lens can be used to capture wide-angle views both as still and video, plus Live View is available.

A Samsung Galaxy smartphone can be paired with the Gear 360 via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct can be used to turn the phone into a remote viewfinder or for transferring files.
