135mm f/2

We had a hands-on look at the new Carl Zeiss Apo-Sonnar T* 135mm f/2 - the lens has a very smooth focus ring, and is manual focus with a solid metal construction with a high quality feel. The lens is expected to retail for around £1699, and will be available in Nikon F or Canon EF mount. The Nikon has a manual aperture ring, while the Canon version has aperture controlled by the camera.

Hands on means what? This is a photographic tool not a mantelpicegift. If I bought a wood chisel for carving, Iwould be more interested in how the blade performed with different woods and different patterns, not on how shiny was the high cadmium steel part, nor how pretty the wooden handle.
