Casio has announced the new Casio Exilim Z1100, an update to the Z1000, the camera features a higher resolution tilting 3inch screen, 12.5x optical zoom lens, RAW shooting, manual controls, time-lapse feature, 5-axis image stabilisation, an all-in-focus macro mode, as well as a 14/18mm equivalent wide-shot shooting mode that combines photos to create an ultra-wide angle shot. The camera will be available in Japan from the end of September for 45,000 Yen (roughly £284), although availability in the UK is unknown.

The name of this camera is really EX-ZR1100, and is the Japanese only version of the EX-ZR1200, successor of the EX-ZR1000 model.
