Casio has announced the launch of a new 16 megapixel compact camera with powerful image stabilisation abilities.

The Casio EX-ZR800 is able to capture high quality hand held night scenes and zoom shots, and is also equipped with a time lapse feature for playing back long time changes in a short period of time.

It features an 18x optical zoom 25mm wide angle lens, with optical image stabilisation. It also has panorama mode, and several art filters, including HDR Art and sparkling shot.

The camera also has triple shot, a feature which combines high speed burst shooting with high speed response. The feature takes an image when the shutter is pressed, and also just before and after, letting you choose which shot is best.

Casio has also accelerated the frame rate in auto focus mode and optimised image sensor control, lens drive control and the AF algorithm for parallel processing of AF operations and high speed continuous shooting.

The Casio EX-ZR800 will be available from September 2013 for 399 Euros. For more information, visit the Casio website.
