Clifton Cameras have created a rather interesting infographic which takes photographers on a journey through the decades pinpointing major developments. They include introductions of iconic models such as the Olympus PEN half-frame in 1959 and the world’s first eye-controlled camera, the Canon EOS in 1992.  The timeline kicks off with the creation of Nippon Kogaku K.K., formed in Japan in 1917 and ends with the introduction of 4K cameras and Smart Phones such as the iPhone 6.

The infographic shows just how far photography and the camera industry have come in 98 years and at the rate technology is growing and expanding, we're sure the timeline charting the next 98 years will be even fuller and more complex.

Visit the Clifton Cameras website for more information on which products from the timeline they stock.
