Ahead of the week of Photo London Fair, Christie’s is delighted to present an online-only auction celebrating British Modern and Contemporary Photography from 12 – 21 May.

This tightly curated sale of 38 lots includes iconic images from the ‘Swinging Sixties’ by David Bailey, Terence Donovan and Lewis Morley as well as fashion and portrait photography of cultural and artistic stars from the past sixty years. The contemporary section of the sale is comprised of documentary and fine art photography by artists such as Simon Roberts, Lottie Davies, Esther Teichmann and Stephen Gill. The sale is live now until the 21st May and highlights will be on view at Christie’s King Street from 16 – 21 May.

With prices ranging from £1,000 to £50,000, this sale presents works by some of the key players in the modern history of British photography, offering new and established collectors with affordable images of our visual history.

Would be very interesting to hear how this goes for the topic of Modern and Contemporary Photography, especially regarding limited print numbers (1?) and whether its the subject, photographer or print material that really sets the value.
