'Deer at Broadway Tower'

Charmaine Mitchell with the image ‘Deer at Broadway Tower’ has won Classic Lodges’ photography competition, to celebrate the opening of Charingworth Manor’s new 140-seater conference and events space.

Entrants of all ages and abilities submitted images of either an iconic Cotswolds' setting or a representation of Charingworth Manor and Chair of the Judging Panel and Managing Director of Classic Lodges, Richard Grime, says the standard of entries was extremely high: "We had top class photos in both categories, and we have chosen the top 11 images for a calendar, with its proceeds going to the local charity, Campden Area Home Nursing Trust.

Richard continues: "For a local resident to win is fantastic. Speaking to her at the event, she explained the image was taken on a mobile phone while out running, which goes to show how easy it is to take a great photo. We wanted to give the competition and its subsequent event an intimate feel, and working with a local newspaper, the local business forum, and Stratford Art College, we feel we have achieved this."

Classic Lodges will be hanging the winning entry at the new hotel.
