| Med Ouarzazate rucksack in Bags, Cases and Straps
When you've bought a lot of camera equipment a good bag to carry it all around in is essential. There are literally hundreds of different types and sizes to choose from and it can become a little bewildering. We look here at a medium sized rucksack type called Ouarzazate from Club Med. The bags holiday feel doesn't stop at its name. It's bright red which means you're going to have a hard time losing it.
The bag uses a clever system of Velcro padded separator:
These can be adjusted for the various sizes of lens or camera you choose to carry. Or they can all be taken out and the bag can be used as a conventional rucksack. Access to the main bag area can be made through the top large zipper opening, or from the right and left openings. This makes it easy to separate equipment into the different sections. There is only one external pocket at the back of the bag, shown below:
The carrying straps can be zipped together to form one large strap which is useful if the bag contains several very heavy lenses.
All straps and zips appear to be of good quality though we'd have liked to have seen a bit more padding on the strap. The bag is comfortable to use and on a two hour walk around the lake district I had no complaints. All the separators and the bags lining are well padded which should help to protect equipment from being damaged.
Verdict
Some people may be put off straight away by the bright red colour. For those of you that aren't this is a better than average quality camera bag with some nice features. Priced competitively at 39.99 we can thoroughly recommend it.
