An image of a coal tit perching on a branch has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.
The photo, taken by ePz member Ray_Seagrove is titled 'Coal Tit (Parus ater)' and here's why the team here at ePHOTOzine thought it should win this week:
This is a great shot of a very fast-moving bird. The grey background gives the image a bleak, wintery feel, and really makes the black of the bird's head stand out. The positioning of the branch leads your eye through the image nicely.
The detail in the feathers has been captured well and the profile positioning of the bird allows the viewer to see all its markings clearly.
Photo of the Week winners currently receive a 64GB MicroSD card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. Take a look at all the images that have been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery.
