I am sure it is good, if you can get one, still waiting on backorder since May...what a joke the model will be six months old before I get one.

Worth noting that the camera gives the photographer seven aspect ratios in situ to allow a plethora of framing options of the subject(s) one photographs!
Bravo Panasonic!

Quote:I realise that I'm coming to this late but nowhere does your review mention flash synchronization speeds of either camera, whether that be normal or Auto FP.

Nikon UK's web site - easily visited - says the D780 has an "auto" sync speed of 1/200 (or slower) - and supports high speed sync (with an appropriate flash unit) for reduced maximum output flash at faster than 1/200

I have always been a fan of the "SuperZoom", I still have and use the original Nikon P600, the one with the terrible burst mode and viewfinder. It is capable of some very good results in decent light but like all small sensor cameras, even phones, they will fail miserably in low light situations. These cameras a great for holiday snaps and with care can take all kinds of images, pixel peeping is not recommended when viewing images from these cameras and I never understood the need for the 100% view in the first place.

Would you recommend this over the A7R IV for stills? I don't plan to view the pictures on a 8K screen nor do I plan to get huge prints.

Would you recommend this or the Sony A7R IIIA? I am only interested in photography and not videos.

I have the Sony rx10 iv and very happy with the photos it takes - but the battery life is appalling - only 100 shots on fully charged battery. I am not using flash, or continuous shooting and manually zooming, as far as possible, to save on battery power. I have also programmed the screen to turn off when the camera is in use. Am I just unlucky or anyone else had this experience.
Of all of the reviews I have read, no one suggests this problem.

Quote:Video recording can continue for as long as the battery holds out

Unlike earlier models, the OM-1 can be powered via the USB-C port, while the internal battery is charging. So with a big external battery, it should be possible to do video indefinitely. The external power source can run it while charging the internal battery, which can run it while the external power source itself is recharging from the mains or a vehicle.
