Capture Great Bokeh With The Pentax Q7

The Pentax Q7 features a unique bokeh control system that makes it really easy for even the beginner photographer to delve into the world of capturing beautifully defocused foregrounds and backgrounds. 

Bokeh is a Japanese term which means blur, and is a way of describing how good the out of focus background of an image looks. Most bokeh will appear as small circles in the background of your image. Light sources in the background will determine how good bokeh will appear. 

For example, light strings, candles, distant city lights and even the sun shining through a tree canopy can be fantastic sources of good bokeh. 

The Pentax Q7's bokeh control function allows you to purposely make the subject stand out. It does this by automatically assessing the distance between the in-focus subject and obtrusive objects in the field of view. The function simplifies the advanced DSLR technique of intentional defocusing, enabling anyone to capture a stunning bokeh filled image.
