CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show Cancelled

The coronavirus outbreak's impact on the technology world continues with CP+ now announcing the tradeshow has been cancelled.

Organisers say that the health and safety of visitors/exhibitors is their utmost priority and as there are no effective treatment or containment measures to deal with the novel coronavirus, they have decided to cancel CP+2020.

"While it is truly regrettable, we have decided to cancel this year’s show," Camera & Imaging Products Association.

The event was originally scheduled to be held over 4 days at PACIFICO Yokohama from 27 February 2020 and it's, usually, one of the biggest camera/photo imaging shows to take place in Japan.

As the event attracts around 70,000 visitors, CP+ organisers have said they would not be able to completely eliminate the risk of infection so, there, for the best solution is to cancel the show.

The news comes after the organisers of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) cancelled MWC 2020 because of similar fears and Sony has also said that the virus could affect their image sensor supply chain.
