A lovely image of a Coal Tit perched in a twig has been crowned our 'Photo of the Week' winner this week.

A photograph of a Coal Tit sat on a twig covered with interesting lichen and framed by warm bokeh tones has won our second 'Photo of the Week' (POTW) title of January 2021.
Gardens are currently full of small wild birds searching for food and the Coal Tit is one of the prettier birds that visit UK homes. We love the detail in the bird's feathers as well as the different textures on the twig with the green of the lichen contrasting against the darker wood. We also like how the background has been thrown nicely out of focus to create a blanket of colour that compliments the foreground and also helps the small bird 'pop' from the frame.
It's a great example of nature photography and a well worthy winner of our POTW title this week. Well done tripodted!
All of our POTW winners receive an EVO Plus 64GB MicroSDXC card with SD Adapter courtesy of Samsung. To be in with a chance of becoming our next POTW winner, simply upload an image to our gallery where you'll also find all of our past POTW winners.
Plus, going forward, we will also announce a new 'Photo of the Year' winner who'll win a Samsung Portable SSD T7. Each POTW winner, 52 in total, will then have their image shared in a new POTW forum where, in January 2022, we will ask you all to hit the 'like' button on your favourite images. Then, the ePHOTOzine team will count up the likes and our first 'Photo of the Year' winner will be announced.
