Recently, David Pritchard has been down to his local bird of prey centre for the last time. He's been a volunteer there for the past year.

In his latest blog post, he shares some valuable information about getting good photos of birds of prey with a Tamron lens.

"For shots like the above, I tend to adjust the autofocus slightly. If a bird is flying directly towards me, then I’ll make sure that I’ve set the camera to front-focus the lens. I’ve found that this reduces my chance of focus-related rejects. I’m finding that the tracking speed of the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 SP Di VC USD is excellent, and I’ve had more successful shots since I’ve started using it then with any other lens. So if high speed sports are your thing, this lens would be an excellent choice."

David has taken many photos of birds of prey over his time with the Tamron 70-200mm lens last year. Take a look at some of his bird related entries from the 365 day challenge here.

So basically no real tips just an advert for the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 SP Di VC USD.

How about you get some decent tutorials, tips and informative posts on this site instead of turning everything into a biased advert for a single piece of equipment/manufacturer? I know this is a revenue stream for you, but this post was about as much use as a wet paper bag with a whole in it.

It was designed to highlight David's blog which Tamron users may find useful and interesting. I've changed the title so this is clearer.
