You are provided with twelve photos of Exeter - some old, some new. You're
then asked to manipulate one or more of the images and combine them in any way
you wish to make a new image using whatever software you prefer.
The key words for the competition are "imagination" and "creativity"
- a simple montage is not enough!
The competition is organised by the Northcott Theatre in Exeter (UK) as part
of The Matthew Miller Project - a series of events, exhibitions and competitions
arranged around their large scale play which takes to the stage in November
2003. The competition is now open and closes on October 16th.
The entry judged as making the most creative and interesting use of the photos
will win dinner and an overnight stay for two thanks to the kind people at Exeter's
best, smartest and award-winning Hotel Barcelona plus two tickets to see Matthew
Miller at the Northcott Theatre, and a cheque for £100 towards your travel
expenses or to use as you wish. Two runners up will also win two tickets each
to see Matthew Miller.
The winning entry will be enlarged and exhibited as part of The Big Picture
The judges are Hazel Clifton (the digital artist working on Poster Poems),
Richard Pinney (Sales Director of Hotel Barcelona, Exeter), and Andrew Harvey
(Project Manager of The Matthew Miller Project).
