Digital SLR Photography magazine is now in the shops and features several ePHOTOzine members including Annaliese, Mattw, Urbanite and Tom_231268
Yes, it's another magazine in a crowded market aiming at the same photographic audience, but what this aims to do that others doesn't is be fully dedicated to the SLR user. Dan has a good background having worked on Canon EOS magazine in its early days, then Practical Photography and, until recently, launched and edited Photography Monthly.
The magazine is designed by Luke Marsh - one of the best in the industry. You'll find some lovely graphic treatments and stylish use of fonts, a colourful and stylish package.
The mag has a wide range of articles from basic to advanced and features some fabulous photographers offering sound advice including celeb photographer Alan Strutt and portrait photographer Bjorn Thomassen.
Although Dan is a personal friend of ePHOTOzine's editor Pete Bargh we are in no way biased. When Pete saw the first issue of Dan's last creation Photography Monthly he wasn't too impressed, yet here he's gob smacked by the design and feature list. Pete explains: "I've been following the last few stages of this magazine's conception with interest. I always remember Dan saying you won't have seen anything like this when he announced Photography Monthly over five years ago, and I was disappointed with the hype, but here I was very impressed. Digital SLR Photography fills a gap in the market. It's wonderfully designed, has a wide variety of features, taking afresh lick of paint to some regulars and adding a few new ideas to the mix. If you only intend buying one magazine this month give this one a try - I think you will be pleasantly surprised "
Dan and his team will be casting their eyes over the gallery section of ePHOTOzine in the coming months looking for photos for future issues so if you get a PM or email from Jo or Dan it's real and your chance to get your pics in print.

In which case, why then has there not been a news item / review of the other two recently launched Digital Photographic magazines ?
Hope to find it in MK later this week.
Much better than the other recently launched mag!!!
If anyone has not seen this magazine then it's very well put together... I wish Dan every sucess because if issue 1 is the shape of things to come, it can only be a good thing. (Also, Dan's a very nice chap!)
Best regards
Your Dad (joking! :o)

Digital SLR User. What a load of rubbish that mag turned out to be - and a total waste of £3.60. I havent been able to find Digital SLR Photography on the shelves as yet but I wont make that mistake again!
