Durdle Door

Durdle Door is a popular location for photographers and when you take a look at this week's Photo of the Week' (POTW), it's easy to see why so many visit Dorset with their cameras.

The famous limestone arch found on the Jurassic Coast can be seen in the top left of the shot, cementing in the viewer's mind where the shot was taken, but it's the strong movement of the sea that takes centre-stage in the shot. The exposure time selected has allowed the crashing waves to be turned into beautiful lines which stretch up the beach and back out to sea, guiding the eye as they do. The sky is full of lovely pastel shades, too, which compliment the soft tones of the beach/sea and allow the rock formation to 'pop' from the scene.

'Tide & Time' is a lovely landscape which certainly makes us eager to get back to the coast when we're allowed to do so. Your memory card is on its way sherlob.

All of our POTW winners receive an EVO Plus 64GB MicroSDXC card with SD Adapter courtesy of Samsung. To be in with a chance of becoming our next POTW winner, simply upload an image to our gallery where you'll also find all of our past POTW winners.

Plus, going forward, we will also announce a new 'Photo of the Year' winner who'll win a Samsung Portable SSD T7. Each POTW winner, 52 in total, will then have their image shared in a new POTW forum where, in January 2022, we will ask you all to hit the 'like' button on your favourite images. Then, the ePHOTOzine team will count up the likes and our first 'Photo of the Year' winner will be announced.
