The Easy Macro Cell Lens Band, available from photojojo, is basically a strong rubber-band with a macro lens built into it. It's designed to be used with mobile phones (or tablets up to 10" wide) and will help users take detailed close-ups with their phone's camera.

Easy Macro Cell Lens Band Handling

The macro band simply slides onto the device you're using and you just have to make sure the lens is positioned over your device's camera lens. When photojojo says the band is 'sturdy' they aren't lying as it's a tough rubber band that shows no signs of breaking even after taking on and off several devices.

Once in place, it's really easy to take macro shots with your mobile phone. When photographing the miniature dinosaur it did take a while to get the positioning right so the camera would focus correctly but once this was perfected, the results were impressive.

For such a simple device the results are actually really great and it's really easy to shoot successful macro style shots with a mobile phone.

Photojojo says the Easy macro Cell Lens Band is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android devices but we also tried it out on a rather old clam-shell styled Samsung phone and even though the camera quality isn't great, we still managed to shoot a couple of great examples of macro photography.

The Easy Macro Cell Lens Band is a cool accessory that pleasantly surprised us with the results it produced. It does exactly what it's designed to do and is fun as well as straightforward to use.

It's priced at $15 (around £8.95) which sounds a lot for what's essentially a rubber band, however it does improve the close focusing point of camera phones and it would be a great gift for someone who enjoys using interesting accessories and quirky items with their camera phone / tablet. 

	The Easy Macro Cell Lens Band is a cool accessory that really does produce top macro shots.
