A vintage style head and shoulders portrait has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.
The image, entitled 'lost' by ePz member cristinavenedict was chosen by the team and here's why we thought it deserved to win:
This is a fantastic example of a profile portrait, with great use of the rule of thirds and empty space to give some breathing space to the image. The depth of field used allows us to just make out the surroundings, using leading lines in the road to draw the eye and encourage us to explore the image.
The photo has been given a vintage feel with slightly muted colours and a limited colour palette. The model's expression gives the impression that she's deep in thought, further adding a sense of wonder and anticipation to the photo.
Photo of the week winners currently receive a 32GB MicroSD card with SD adapter from Samsung. See all the images that have been awarded the accolade in the POTW gallery.
