Find out which one of our 52 'Photo of the Week' winners from 2021 has won the title of 'Photo of the Year'.

During January you were given the opportunity to hit the 'like' button on your favourite 2021 POTW images to help us choose our first-ever 'Photo of the Year'. Now the votes have been counted and we can reveal that Jamie_MacArthur with the image 'Common Kingfisher' takes the title of 'Photo of the Year'.
187 'likes' were awarded to the perfectly timed shot which the ePHOTOzine team described as 'striking and interesting' when we crowned it our 'Photo of the Week' back in May 2021.
Commenting on his win, Jamie said: "Having been a fan and contributor to ePHOTOzine over the years, I was really gob-smacked to find that my kingfisher shot was 'liked' the most in the new 'Photo of the Year' competition.
I have been interested in natural history all my life and it always gives me a great sense of well being when I’m watching it. I don’t take shots to win competitions, I take them to help to show the beauty of nature to others and hope they get as much pleasure as I when looking at it. So, it really pleased me to find out that so many people voted for this one. Thank you ALL so much!"
As well as the 'Photo of the Year' title, Jamie also wins a Samsung 1TB Portable SSD T7 courtesy of our generous 'Photo of the Week' sponsor Samsung.
The competition now starts again with all 'Photo of the Week' winners from 2022 being included. Once the year has ended we'll be compiling a list of 52 winners in our forum where you'll be able to cast your votes.
Thank you to everyone who voted, our sponsor Samsung and those who continue to upload incredible photos to our Gallery.

May I suggest the EPZ Team to consider allowing just ONE vote per member for the selection of The Photograph Of the Year. I think it puts enough pressure to members to weight their choice carefully.
