An ePHOTOzine member has been crowned one of the winners of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards, taking the title in the 'Scottish Landscape - The Land Category'.

Paul Millar captured 'Winter Light' at Lochan na h-Achlaise in Glencoe, Scotland, at the end of Winter on a day when snow clouds filled the sky and beautiful winter light allowed detail in the clouds and ice to stand out.

Commenting on his win, Paul said: "I am not embarrassed to admit my feelings of joyful emotion on winning the award for the Scottish Landscape - The Land category. I have followed the competition for several years and was inspired by last year's beautiful images to enter and have a go myself.

Ten years on from a friend asking, 'Is your camera just for family photos?', and now countless miles behind me on my Scottish travels lead to my winning image, Winter Light, and a day of beautiful white snow clouds at winter's end in Glencoe, to the Black Mount and what can only be described as Nature's composition, as patterns in the ice caught my eye in a fleeting second in time."

Congratulations, Paul, from the ePHOTOzine team!

The Scottish Nature Photography Awards celebrate nature, wildlife and landscape photography in Scotland and Edinburgh based nature photographer Charles Everitt won the overall title of  'Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2020' with his image 'Taking Root' of a Pink purslane rooted in the base of a tree.
