We've just shared the news that the shortlisted photographers for the Open and Youth competitions of the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards have been announced and we've also just found out that one of the shortlisted photographers is an ePHOTOzine member

Shaun Mills has been shortlisted in the 'Open' competition for an image submitted under the 'Architecture' category.

Titled 'Sentinel' the image is a long exposure shot of the Old Victorian Lighthouse off the coast of Dovercourt, Essex.

"A 40-second exposure was taken at high tide on an overcast day in February and the long exposure combined with sea and cloud movement enabled me to produce the minimalist effect I was looking for," says Shaun.

Well Done Shaun!

Superb take on an oft-shot lighthouse. The hues and lighting are simply terrific.
