ePHOTOzine member wolfy has been crowned this week's Photo of the Week (POTW) winner.

The POTW is picked by ePHOTOzine's founder and Editorial Director, Peter Bargh, once a week and here's why he thought wolfy's photo, Quiraing, was a worthy winner:

"The saying landscape photography is all about the light has certainly paid off in this photo by wolfy. The Quiraing in Skye is a much photographed location, but few photographers are lucky enough to capture the light as well as this in the location. Beautiful golden tones paint the landscape in a warmth that is rarley seen here. The higher viewpoint leads you through the terrain to the familiar distant range and introduces the ragged tree that's often missed out from the closer positions. The choice of almost square format also appears to pull the various elements in tighter than a typical wider format composition."

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Pixum online photo printing. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.

Victorian artists used this quality of lighting in many of their Scottish landscapes. A worthy winner.
