The Gathering
'The Gathering' by fazzer

ePHOTOzine member fazzer has been crowned this week's Photo of the Week (POTW) winner.

The POTW is picked by ePHOTOzine's founder and Editorial Director, Peter Bargh, once a week and here's why he thought fazzer's photo, The Gathering, was a worthy winner:

"A well timed photograph with the camel trader positioned between the two main camels. The right one partially silhouetted against the backlit sun that streams through the dust creating strong shafts of light to add to the background. Both camel heads are near mirrored and the fact there's so much going on in the background doesn't distract from the focal point of the trader. He's caught with his stick in the foward position and legs apart giving a sense of action - split second timing or that dramatic stance would have been reduced. The image captures the moment perfectly. All that's missing is the sound of the Kamaicha with the beat of the Dholak. Mighty fine travel photography!"

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Pixum online photo printing. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.
