ePHOTOzine member Paul_Forghamis this week's Photo of the Week (POTW) winner.
The Photo of the Week (POTW) is picked by ePHOTOzine's founder and Editorial Director, Peter Bargh, once a week and here's why he thought 'The Underwriter' by Paul_Forgham deserved to win this week:
"Very few architecture pictures get EC awards let alone POTW, but this one stood out. It's of the often photographed Lloyds Building in Lime Street London. The low viewpoint, while standing really close to the building results in the structures receding out into the vanish point. Space is used well within the frame allowing individual shapes to dominate, but combine for an overall balanced result.
The moody processing enhances the texture and reflectivity in the huge pipes and conduits. The stormy sky and its reflection adds to the overall steel blue hue, giving a science-fiction like feel. It's my favourite shot of this pair of buildings."
POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Albelli. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallerywhere all shots that have received the award are displayed.
