ePHOTOzine's Photo Of The Week Winner

ePHOTOzine's Photo Of The Week Winner - Find out why this week's Photo of the Week was awarded the accolade.

This week's Photo of the Week winner has been chosen. The award goes to ePHOTOzine member sherlob, for the image 'The Solitude of a Breathless Tide'.

The Photo of the Week (POTW) is chosen by the staff here at ePHOTOzine, and here's why we thought sherlob's image deserved to win the award this week:

This image has so much depth, and the colours are so beautiful in the sky, as well as being reflected in the water. The rocks at the front of the image provide great foreground interest that leads the eye out to sea, as does the seaweed that adds a sense of movement to the tide.

The pier in the background and the rocks both point to the rising sun, which is just beginning to emerge from the horizon. This is a truly stunning image, with the wispy clouds in the sky adding to the fantastic effect as a new day dawns. The square crop really works to make it almost feel like you're stood right there in the scene.

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Albelli. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.
