At this year’s Focus on Imaging Show (3rd – 6th March, NEC, Birmingham), innovation leader Epson will showcase its range of LFP, pro-photo and consumer photo products demonstrating solutions for everyone, from high-end professional photographers, creative designers and advanced amateurs, through to consumers with a desire to print out high-quality photos at home.
The stand will offer practical application demonstrations of Epson’s products in use, highlighting the breadth and versatility of the company’s technological capability. Throughout the show, professional photographers Paul Gallagher and Mike McNamee who run the Epson Print Academy will be delivering a number of workshops explaining how to create and capture great images, process them, and of course, make excellent quality prints using Epson’s latest technology.
Epson’s range of A3+ and A2+ inkjet printers will be on display, including the Stylus Photo R3000 which makes professional-quality output accessible, with its convenient high-capacity inks, perfect for medium print runs. Also on show will be the Stylus Photo R3880, a high specification professional A2+ photo printer which uses Epson’s advanced, fourth generation UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta pigment inks to deliver long lasting, high quality large format prints in both black and white and full colour.
For Photo enthusiasts who want a top-of-the-range A4 printer to showcase their photography skills, product experts will be demonstrating the Expression Photo XP-850 and XP-750 printers. Specifically designed to deliver superior photo printing, the range uses Epson’s new six-colour Claria Photo HD Ink for superior-quality and long-lasting photographs.
Epson’s range of quality film and photo scanners will be demonstrated, including the Epson Perfection V750 and V700, two premium flatbed scanners equipped with advanced Digital ICE technology that allows you to remove dust and scratches.
For more commercial applications, Epson will show its range of products ideal for colour proofing, photography and fine art reproduction. One product on display will be the Epson Stylus Pro 9900, which delivers incredible sharp, grain-free images at ultra-high speed thanks to Epson’s Micro Piezo TFP print head technology.
The largest printer on the stand will be Epson’s 8- and 10-colour wide-format SureColor SC-S70600: the company’s first 64-inch (162.6cm) roll-fed printer to support white and metallic inks simultaneously. It combines ultra high-quality, versatile wide colour gamut capability, flexibility and productivity in a printer that is capable of producing everything from simple signage to high-end displays and décor.
Finally, Epson will demonstrate the SureLab its 6-colour, compact digital dry lab for high-quality photo print production. Ideal for traditional mini-lab retail environments, the Epson SureLab SL-D3000 also offers new business opportunities for print shop owners. It can print on glossy, matte and lustre media up to 12-inches (30.5cm) wide to produce photos, greetings cards, invitations, flyers and promotional leaflets.
