Flatbed Scanners

The Epson Perfection 4180 Photo is the perfect partner for the photo enthusiast. Whether you want to make enlargements of your favourite images, digitise old films and photos or add new life to faded memories, this scanner is the ideal solution.

Epson unveils the latest addition to their comprehensive range of scanners, the Epson Perfection 4180 Photo. Aimed at amateur photographers and home photo enthusiasts who are looking for professional quality and performance, the Perfection 4180 Photo is ideal for those needing high-quality output from a cost effective device. The sleek, compact design adds style and performance to any desktop.

The Epson Perfection 4180 Photo has a class leading 4800 x 9600dpi optical resolution, enabling users to make enlargements from both photos and film. The scanner also has film scanning capabilities thanks to the built-in film adapter that handles multiple film formats. It can scan up to 12 x 35mm frames, up to 4 x 35mm mounted slides and up to 1 x 12cm 120/220 medium format film in one pass. The built-in film adapter scans multiple types of film, allowing users to easily scan negatives to produce high quality enlargements or archive film. In addition the scanner has an optional auto document feeder, which can handle 4.5 pages per minute.

The Epson Perfection 4180 Photo also includes Epson's photo restoration software. The colour restoration function restores faded or discoloured images, even on black and white film and photos, making old images look as good as the day they were taken. The Epson dust removal eliminates annoying "dust" from positive and negative film, helping users to return their memories to their original condition.

The scanner boasts the highest optical density in its class. Epson's 3.4DMax allows users to achieve remarkable tone reproduction and image detail, catering for even the most demanding of home photo enthusiasts. With a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface the scanner offers incredibly fast scanning whilst maintaining compatibility with standard USB 1.1.

The Epson Perfection 4180 Photo includes software such as Adobe(r) Photoshop(r) Elements 2.0, enabling users to edit and enhance images with creative filters and templates. And finally, the improved ESPON smart panel enables users to quickly and easily copy, fax, email and print at the touch of a button.

Richard Baylis, Sales and Marketing Manager, Consumer Products says, "The Perfection 4180 Photo offers photographic enthusiasts superior quality and performance at an extremely competitive price. At Epson we continuously strive to deliver products that are of a high- quality and are highly desirable to the market but affordably priced, this product meets our criteria perfectly."
