Stylus 1

A firmware upgrade is now available for the Olympus Stylus 1 which extends the camera's focal range and boosts its wide-angle potential to 22.4mm*. Interval Shooting and Time Lapse Movie modes are now also available plus, the camera is now compatible with OI.Share v2.5 so users can shoot remotely with a Smart Phone.

The firmware update makes the Stylus 1 compatible with Olympus’ WCON-08X Wide-angle Converter Lens (and CLA-14 adapter) that together extend its focal length to 22.4mm* without affecting the 1:2.8 aperture. The new Step Zoom feature lets users set the zoom lever to common 35mm-equivalent focal lengths and the focal length display in the Electronic Viewfinder now shows the 35mm equivalent familiar to DSLR users. Small Target AFand Focus Peaking are now also available.

v2.0 of the firmware is downloadable for free via the online Olympus Digital Camera Updater

Warning, once you upgrade the firmware you will no longer have a stylus 1, you will have a Stylus 1s.

If you use Lr, you will no longer have a choice of the camera specific profiles such as natural, vivid, etc, all you will have is the Adobe standard profile.
