Known for his beautiful early photographs of rural England, Turner was one of the first, and remains one of the greatest, of all British photographers. He compiled 60 photographs under the title Photographic Views from Nature, between 1852 and 1854, and these form the basis of the display. Turner's photographs provide a fascinating glimpse of rural and urban life in the nineteenth century.
