The new CS240 ColorEdge monitor is designed with photographers and designers from hobbyist level up in-mind. The entry-level monitor has everything you'd expect to find on a graphics monitor including a wide colour gamut and excellent brightness uniformity. Plus, it comes bundled with EIZO’s ColorNavigator 6 calibration software with Mac/Windows compatibility and support for a wide range of calibration devices. You can also purchase an optional shading hood and the monitor, as with all EIZO's displays, is backed by a manufacturer’s five-year warranty that covers all components including the LCD panel.
To accurately reproduce the vibrant blue skies and lush greens captured in your photos the CS240 features an IPS panel with a wide colour gamut that reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space so images shot in RAW can be converted to Adobe RGB or images shot in Adobe RGB will be displayed correctly.
All ColorEdge models come with an ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) developed by EIZO that has its own algorithms so the monitors produce smooth colour tones. EIZO's patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology is also featured in all monitors to combat fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity. The CS240 can display 64 times as many colours as you get with an 8-bit display as the monitor offers 10-bit simultaneous color display (a graphics board and software which support 10-bit output are also necessary for 10-bit display.) from a 16-bit look-up table when using the DisplayPort input. This results in smoother colour gradations and a reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colours.
Multiple inputs, an LED backlight with flicker-free display and an adjustable stand all make the CS240 more convenient and comfortable to use, plus it can also be used in portrait mode when needed.
