Learn to master the hybrid shoot with the pioneer of 6K photography and podcaster Ross Grieve who will be leading a free workshop in October.

The Lumesca Group are hosting a live-stream masterclass, split over two days, all about hybrid shooting where you can learn to combine the skills needed for capturing video as well as stills.
Hosted by Ross Grieve and sponsored by BenQ and Calibrite, the two workshops are taking place on 13 and 19 October 2021 at 4 pm BST over on the MUSE by LUMESCA YouTube channel.
Commenting on the hybrid photography approach, Ross said: "When I first started using hybrid photography about 6 to 7 years ago, some people in the industry frowned upon it, saying it was not photography. That same technique went on to win me UK Pet Photographer of the Year. It’s about having another tool in your kit to get those moments you would normally spend ages trying to capture and time right. I have used it in commercial, portrait and pet photography, as well as street photography.
4K/6K (hybrid) photography has opened my imagination to what more I can shoot. It allows me to speed up my workflow so I can capture those moments I would normally miss."
The first masterclass will be a live photo and video shoot, and the second is a retouching and editing session, for which attendees will receive 5 RAW files to use and practise on during the class, taken by Ross himself. LUMESCA will also offer practical advice on how to get video footage during a photoshoot, covering what challenges you need to consider, including colour correction, lighting setups, gear, and much more.
The event is completely free to attend; all you need to do is sign up on the Eventbrite website.
