Freecom has launched Tough Drive SSD, a 256 GB solid state drive. 

The Freecom Tough Drive SSD has an incredibly fast data access time, offering users data transfer speeds of up to 415MB/s, the SSD has no moving parts and is therefore capable of accessing any location on the drive with equally fast speed and precision. The drive can easily withstand drops and shocks ensuring outstanding durability, high reliability and long life.

The FAT-32 pre-formatted drive is immediately ready to be used on both PC and Mac. It is preloaded with Nero BackItUp software (for Windows only) that allows PC users full system backup and restore functions, and the ability to schedule automatic backup by date/time.
