The huge 9Mp resolution of the Fujifilm A920 will cope with enlarging images upto A3 size which will be perfect for your new baby pictures using the Baby mode designed to reproduce a baby's skin tones properly.

Already got a digital compact and thinking of upgrading? The Fujifilm A920 has a dual memory card slot to fit both Secure Digital and xD memory cards. The added bonus is if you have to impulse buy another memory card, you are more likely to get hold of a Secure Digital card.

Holidays are a cinch thanks to the Beach mode where the camera will compensate for extra light coming from the ground. There is also an Underwater mode, but the camera isn't waterproof and will need the proper housing before it can take underwater shots.

Suitable for:
Portraits, Holidays, Babies, Parties, Night photography

What the other sites are saying:
Digital Camera Info: "It takes beautiful portraits when the subject is well-lit and ready to smile for about a half-second."

Steve's Digicams:
"Even at the low price, there are plenty of compact models out there that offer equal if not better image quality, performance, and at least VGA resolution movies."

Fujifilm A920 Our Verdict
The Fujifilm A920 sticks to the "Fun" aspect of its design with the modes it offers for going out and on holiday. If you are looking for a camera that will be good to use with a newborn or on holiday and you like printing your pictures up quite large, then get this camera.

The Fujifilm A920 costs around £95 and is available from the ePHOTOzine shop here.

I've had this camera for 3 years and have taken many shots with it. I'm very pleased with the size as it fits nicely in my shoulder bag. It's not too heavy and it's comfortable to hold. A good all round camera. I was lucky and got mine for £60 in Boots. The only drawback I'm finding 3 years on is that the macro lens takes awhile to focus and when it does the insect may have gone. The menu is easy to understand and it does exactly what it says.
