Fujifilm has announced that two more X-Series models will now have the ability to be used as a webcam thanks to a new firmware update.

The X-A7 and X-T200 join several other X and GFX series cameras which were given the firmware update in May, allowing them to offer a solution for higher-quality video calls.

"The new firmware will make it possible for you to use your X-A7 or X-T200 as a webcam for your online meeting by connecting the camera to your computer*1 via USB. These cameras offer a dramatic improvement compared to normal webcams, taking your online meeting to new levels of image quality.", say Fujifilm.

Fujifilm have also said that they are now developing the X-Webcam software for MacOS users, after comments and requests from the user base. This should be available from mid-July.
